Public Notice of Application to reissue
the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Corrective Action Permit
Radford Army Ammunition Plant
Purpose of Notice: The US Army Radford Army Ammunition Plant (RFAAP) is in the process of applying for the reissuance of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Corrective Action Permit. RFAAP will host a public meeting to share pertinent application information and to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency’s public participation procedures.
Facility Name and Location: The above permit is for the Main Manufacturing Area of the U.S. Army Radford Army Ammunition Plant which is located on State Route 114 about 5 miles from Route 460 (Christiansburg) and 3 miles from Route 11 (Radford) in Virginia.
Project Description: RFAAP is in the process of applying for the reissuance of the above permit. The point of contact at RFAAP is Joy Case Public Affairs Officer, 540-731-5762.
Public Meeting: A public meeting will be held at the New River Competitiveness Center on March 17, 2011 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm in conjunction with the Radford Army Ammunition Plant Restoration Advisory Board meeting. Handouts from the meeting are available here.
